How to make a gift of real estate
Your real property may be given to The Citadel Foundation by executing or signing a deed transferring ownership. You may deed part or all of your real property to The Citadel Foundation. Your gift will generally be based on the property's fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal.

Mortgaged Property - Please contact us if the property you wish to give has existing debt or a mortgage. Indebtedness can affect your charitable tax deduction.

With a documented planned gift donation of $25,000 and above, you are eligible for induction into The Citadel Legacy Society, which takes place at our annual Leaders in Philanthropy weekend each fall. You will join a group of your peers who take pride in being members of The Citadel family of supporters. Induction takes place the year following the year of your gift.
